Avis summed up year results25 January 2010
 In the frames of annual Board Meeting that took place on January 15, 2010 Avis Ukraine summed up company’s work results in 2009.
On December 31, 2009 Avis’s fleet was 15,9% in the group of main competitors which provide leasing services with the full service package. It is 0,8% higher than in 2008. In the result of planned changes of the rental fleet according to Avis’s standards, total fleet decreased from 1762 to 1583 cars, as far as corresponding to Avis corporate standards cars in the fleet shall be not more than 3 years old and with mileage less than 100 000km. But for all that we have the biggest fleet in Ukraine. Leasing fleet remained the same as on December 31, 2009 (1300 cars) what 100% corresponds to the index pawned to the budget 2009.
Number of company’s clients increased for 50 new corporate clients. Number of current clients remained unchanged thanks to prolongations of leasing agreements. Prolongations plan was fulfilled by Avis on 153%.
Corresponding to the financial results 2009 revenue from leasing agreements increased on 27,6% in comparison to the 2008 and is more than USD 15 000 000.
In 2009 Avis service department revised requirements to the services provided by the SS. Full automation of the process of maintenance and repair of the vehicles allows Avis Ukraine completely control not only technical condition, but rationality and speed of services at the SS.
With an aim for successful development of transport services in 2009, the company has carried out complete restructuring of the department. Its fleet currently composes of around 50 vehicles, including passenger cars of different classes, buses and minibuses. According to the results of department work in 2009 transportation services contractual base increased on 37 new clients among which are international corporations, travel agencies and airlines. Since December 2009 Avis started its transportation services at the hotel «Rixos-Prykarpattya". Similar projects work now at the hotels Radisson BLU, Riviera, and "Rus" (Kyi), "Leopolis" (Lviv) and "Atlas" (Donetsk).
Last year worldwide brand Avis was awarded the title of World's Leading Business Car Rental Company on the results of World Travel Awards. The significance of this award in the branch of transportation services and tourism is analogous to the cinematographic "Oscar". Last year Avis was nominated for the Best Car Rental Company in the frames of the project Best of Kyiv established by the Kyiv Post edition. This award Avis Ukraine has already received in 2003, 2004, 2005, 2007 and 2008.
